The first time I visited Dubai was in 2002 and there was no public transport. I remember walking about 1km and dying in heat in the middle of the day. I should get off the plane stop off over and check it out again.
Dubai underwent a very extensive development. 10 years after and before makes such a huge difference. Everything there now is bigger, better and more luxurious. You should definitely visit Dubai again. Probably in 2 years time. They are currently building the next highest tower that rumors said is twice the size of Burj Khalifa.
