Have you ever been to United Arab Emirates? What do you know about that country? You can read my other stories in the publication.

UAE was in my bucket list for a long time. For a long time I was enjoying this country just on TV, books, tourist’s blogs, or from my friends. But dreams should come true, and one day I finally got a chance to visit Dubai.

One of the most impressive fact about United Arab Emirates were Artificial Islands.

Artificial islands Palm Jumeirah were constructed in shape of Palm, and if you look it from the sky you can see this wonderful view.

Few facts about Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah was designed and constructed by a property developing company Nakheel.

Palm Jumeirah is a part of big project Palm Islands. This project includes Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira. The main goal of this project is extension of Dubai’s territory (520km in total).

The construction of the island started in June 2001.

The most of the houses were sold even before the constuction was finished.

How to get to the Palm Jumeirah?

The best way to get to Palm Jumeirah is a monorail, which connects the Palm Jumeirah with to the mainland. By the way, it is the first monorail in the Middle East.

One way ticket costs 20 AED or 7 USD, a round-trip ticket will cost 30AED (9USD). You can take a monorail from Nakheel Sales Center. The last stop of the monorail is Atlantis Hotel and waterpark.

Another way to get to the end of the island is a taxi, and if be honest, if you travel with company, so it will be better to take a taxi. Because it will cheaper. But if you take a monorail, so you can look at the island from the top.

What to do on the Palm Jumeirah?

If you think that Jumeirah is just a living area, then you are mistaken a lot. Jumeirah is one of the most entertaining areas of Dubai. There are dozens of luxury hotels, resorts, villas. For example, Atlantis is a world famous hotel, resort, shopping area and waterpark at the same time. Some tourists come to Dubai, stay ar Atlantis and even don’t go outside it during the whole vacation.

I am not a big fan of water parks, i mean super crazy attractions. Therefore, I just walked around the shopping area and hotel.

The design of the construction is like a real Atlantis or water world. The ceiling are decorated with chandelier in shpae of dolphins.

Here you can walk, enjoy a sea view, do some shopping and of course, find some yummies.

After a quick walk around I took a taxi and went to the another sight in Dubai, about which you will learn in my next article. Stay online!
