How have I never heard of this place? I lived in the north-east for quite some time too! Photos look great. I would love to travel there some day. I mean, who doesn't like a good castle?
It's a pretty nice place and is, imho, surprisingly under the radar. Also, in the past 7 years (since we went there), the New York side has apparently undergone improvements——— or at least that's what I think because the official ILOVENY social accounts have been buzzing about Boldt Castle and Thousand Islands tourism over the past 1.5-2ish years.
