That's north island isn't it? Hobbiton I mean. We stayed in the south but loved NZ so will be back to explore some more. We love close so it's not too costly. (Aus)
Yea waikato... south is probably more 'beautiful' but north has loads of cool places to explore such as rotorua, taupo and wellington.
We will probably head back to the north in 2021. Loved the south so much though, fewer people, beautiful scenery. Such a lovely place. I'm annoyed we didn't head over sooner to be honest.
