RE: To be or not to be Dracula’s Castle - One day, three castles in Transylvania

in #travelfeed5 years ago

3 castles in a day? WOW! I didn't know that there were so many close to each other.

I must admit that I don't like that Rasnov sign. I like when places are kept authentic and struggle to enjoy when it's turned into such a touristy place. But this is happening everywhere.

It's a pity that Bran wasn't as expected but it is indeed a beautiful castle so I am sure it was worth the visit.

You made me laugh with your comments about the road maintenance. It's like in Slovakia before the parliament elections :D Nothing happens during 4 years of government and then right before the elections all the work starts. And in most cases it stops as soon as the elections are over and the roads are left unfinished... sad story..

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

Transylvania is full of castles and that’s one of the things we’ve liked the most! We chose to stay in the city of Brasov in particular, knowing there were so many amazing places to discover in the vicinity, and we weren’t disappointed.

I feel the same about this Rasnov sign and the worst thing is that they actually put the same kind of sign in Brasov. Of course it’s just another way to bring tourists in, which is totally fair, but it’s a bit of an eye sore... Thankfully, we didn’t feel too overwhelmed with crowds while in Rasnov so it wasn’t such a big deal.

Bran, on the contrary, was packed but we expected it and the castle was very pretty just like you said, so we definitely enjoyed our time there!

Oh yeah, governments trying to win people’s votes one way or another and then conveniently forgetting to keep their word. I guess this is the kind of story that happens in a lot of places, unfortunately...

Thanks for your lovely comment anyway and for always supporting our work. Have a lovely day as well! :)
