Glamping in Luxury Tent Pool-Villas on Koh Yao Noi in Thailand.
If you like camping, but you also like all the comforts of home, then I may have found just the place for you.
9 HORNBILLS TENTED CAMP, KOH YAO NOI
We discovered this luxury retreat on a recent trip to Koh Yao Noi Island in the south of Thailand. The island is a short boat ride from Phuket and features stunning views over the 44 limestone island karsts of Phang Nga Bay. While we didn't stay here, the hotel management were happy to take us to have a look at this unique and interesting place to stay.
There are 7 tents located on the top of a hill with sweeping panoramic views. Every tent gets great views over Phang Nga Bay and the unique limestone karsts which dot it. The view is eastwards, so if you are an early riser you will also be treated to an amazing sunrise.
Your own private golf cart will deliver you to your tent and as the location is quite remote, they will also deliver food, drinks and other items as needed. Your are of course free to make your own way up and down the hill.
Inside the air-conditioned tents you will everything you may want, including a large double bed with mosquito net, lounge and flatscreen tv, large bathtub and toilet. Deluxe furnishing are used throughout, and this is much nicer than many hotels I have stayed in....and its a tent!
There is also a delightful outdoor shower made from bamboo. There is something wonderful and natural about having a cool shower outdoors when you are in a beautiful tropical location.
And...most importantly an area to sit by your private pool with a cold drink and soak up the serenity...magic. Honestly, this is how camping should be done! ...and to make it even better you don't need to put up or pull down the tent, which is always a chore.
