My Travel Feed of Narayanganj (Industrial Area) of Bangladesh.

in #travelfeed5 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians,

I hope you're having a great day.

Those who are following my blog; must know my thirst for travel and tours.

Whenever I get some free time... I leave my house and I try to travel to different places.

There are many historical and natural places in Bangladesh.

I went to a lot of places and still I want to visit more.

So... this one is about Narayanganj (Industrial Area) of Bangladesh.

It was actually not a tour that I wished for.
I had to go there for official purpose.

Narayanganj is called as industrial area of Bangladesh for it's vast garment factory.
We also work with some garments of Narayanganj.

I had to carry some L/C documents.

Well... I didn't do the office work only... I also made a vlog and captured photos for a nice blogpost.

Let's see some photos and I'll talk about em.

I was on a bus at that time and the bus was on a flyover.
I thought it'd be a nice click.

I switched my seat and went to the front seat to capture some good pictures from around.

It was the toll for that flyover.

The steering of the driver.

Well... after a long journey; I reached the city at last.
This is the center of Narayanganj.
I got off from the bus and hopped on a rickshaw.

Then I started the rickshaw journey while I was capturing and enjoying around me.

It's a big mosque that's in under construction still.

Another gate of that mosque.
It acquired a good amount of place.

Suddenly I saw something special.
What's that?

This is the one.
Let's take a closer look.

What do you think it is?
I didn't have that much time to inquire about this statue... it's a statue, right?
Whatever.

It looked good.

Do you guys know what it is?
It's a symbol of our liberation war of 1971.

Those hands shows the courage of our peoples holding only sticks and chopper against rifles.

It shows the courage of bengali people who died for independence.

I kept moving.
Had to stop at a place... at my destination actually.

It's called police lines of Narayanganj.
It's a very big police station... a police headquarters, I guess.

The big gate seemed cool.
Then I've found something precious.
Some art with ceramics on the big wall of the police station.

One

This is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He was a great man and he did a lot for our country.
He is our former prime minister.
This art shows a good part of his historical speech of 7th March 1971.

This art contains a slogan.
Which is...
এবারের সংগ্রাম স্বাধীনতার সংগ্রাম।

In English: This time the struggle is for independence.

Two

It shows a freedom fighter.
With a slogan.
সদা জাগ্রত বাংলার মুক্তিবাহিনী।

In English: The ever-awakened Liberation Force of Bangladesh.

Three

It shows the struggle for our mother language in 1952.
Police fired in a rally and killed several people, on the 21st February 1952 and this art is a shadow of that story.

Well... I hope you guys liked these arts.
They're so so creative.

So I took some good photos and started looking for the garment that I had work with.

After wandering for some time, finally I've found it.
It's Century Apparels Ltd.

A nice mosque is situated in the territory of this garment.

A beautiful sign was there on the gate.

"Child Labour Strcitly Prohibited".

Entered to the area and walked a little bit more.
Then I've found something.

This swamp.
It seemed cool although it was a bad scene as those big trees died because of this swamp, I guess.

Yeah I got a visitor card and entered the garment factory.
Talked with somebody and then waited at the balcony for a bit and I was surprised to see something.

Can you imagine where is this tree?
It's up on a floor.
Above from the ground.
And big trees.
Not just a single one but two-three of em.

I felt good seeing this.

So then I left that factory and started working.

While I came outside of that place...
Found something very bad.

Can you see the black water?
It's polluted with garment waste.

Garbage beside the road.
This city... Narayangaj is also known as a polluted area for these things.
For garment wastes.

It's the birth place for mosquitoes like dengue.

I hurriedly hopped on a taxi.
It didn't seems nice to stay for a long time for the polluted environment.

I've found some more arts on the way.

One

Two

Three

It's kind of Shajahan-Momtaj kinda arts.

Bought a ticket for AC bus to leave Narayanganj.
There's a nice service called Sheetal AC Transport Ltd which had free Wi-Fi inside the bus.
And it doesn't costs a very big amount.

This is the counter.

Had to wait on a long line for a good time.
Then a bus came and we started out journey.

The bus was well decorated with a CCTV camera inside it.
That's a nice feature that we don't see in every transport.

Came to Gulistan, Dhaka (Capital of Bangladesh) on that journey.

This is a nice statue on the middle of a four way road.

I had to switch to another bus which was a local one.

This is our national parliament.
Got this from inside the bus that I was in.
And then I ate my lunch and went to my office.

Well... how is this post?
This is all about this post.

I'll come again with a new post.
