Nirvana: Eagle Point Resort
Nirvana
My boyfriend @agentgraham booked this resort via Metrodeal for only $62 . I have no idea what it offers he simply said we will go snorkeling and that won me over since we were thinking of going to Puerto Galera as well.
We made the reservation and chose Monday to Tuesday to avoid a lot of people. He had been stressing at work so he needs to relax and hopefully this place will let him.
We packed our bags and headed South.
How to get there:
-We went to Buendia, boarded the Jam lines bus going to Batangas. It only cost $3 (P157). Around two hours travel time.
-Then got off in Batangas grand terminal and ride a jeepney that will pass Mabini, Anilao. Fare if $0.80 (P40). A 30 minute ride.
-Got off in the diversion(tell the driver to drop you off there), then got a trike to take you to the resort.
TIP: beware of the trike near the highway, they are overcharging, they charge $7 for two people, yet when we asked the locals they said walk a little further and near the wet market there will tricycles there that will charge less. We did and got offered $4, we saved $3 right?
The place was indeed far and the road is quite steep.
-We then arrived at the resort, but its only the guard house. They will need to verify your reservation, we had a printed voucher along and he needs to radio someone to verify. We were then picked up by their shuttle service and another steep and thrilling ride going down to the resort for around 5 more minutes.
Upon checking in and getting our welcome drinks, we went to our room.
This is it, we got a room in the fourth floor.
Looks cozy and oh so nice.
And with this view. :)
Let's look outside the terrace shall we.
We rested in the room for a while and watched some TV with this soft and warm blanket due to the cool AC. :D
Another peek of the view before we go and eat our late lunch.
We went to the restaurant and this is how it looks like.
It took sometime for the food we ordered to arrive, but they are definitely worth the wait.
Each dish already comes with a cup of rice.
While we dine, we watched this beautiful sunset. The food is exquisite and beautifully arranged.
We roamed around and was more amazed by it's outdoor amenities.
It's getting dark and we swam in the pool, there's just a few people since it's a weekday.
Then we played 3 rounds of billiard and he taught me how to play table tennis.
We then rested early in order to wake up early tomorrow to fully explore this paradise.
Day two will be posted soon. :)
