Medan, 2009

I was going to have memories of a wonderful trip with my fellow humanitarian activists who worked together after the Aceh Tsunami, 2005. Tired and saturated we went to Lake Toba, North Sumatara by Public Bus
I'm a fond of traveling let alone outag area, let alone presented beautiful pemandagan, making me go even further until the end.

I still remember that time we trip to Lake Toba from the route of Brastagi street which is served for 2 hours from Medan City during the day, we stop at places of interest, then again look for public transportation bertekonlogy maupaun traditional transportation even ride horses, interesting sights North Sumatra from Brastagi Peak to Sipiso-piso waterfall. Actually my country, Aceh, is more beautiful and interesting. Compared to Lake Toba, Lake Tawar Aceh Tengah, Takengon City in the highlands of the country is more interesting, not to mention the North Sumatra is stuck, known to be a lot of pickpockets and criminals, but the attractions in my country that time was destroyed by the disaster, and the management of the place - the attractions are not good and the promotion is very less.

All right .. our Steemian friends return to North Sumtara, Proponsi neighbor my country.

Brastagi a place to see the city of Medan from the top of the mountains with winding roads and favorite places of Medan citizens to spend the holiday at the weekend. Also in Brastagi I forget the title place, can eat hot noodles, drink coffee or eat corn while looking at the city stretch underneath. Then there is a resting area, named Gundaling, here we see Brastagi City from the top of a small hill, here also we can merral horse just traveling around, paying only 20,000 that period, after negos with owners.

Once satisfied in Gundaling, we moved to Lake Toba, on the way there, we stop in a pretty nice place, seemingly waterfall down. We stopped and descended from Angkuta Umum, this place called Sipiso-piso Waterfall, one of the amazing waterfalls in North Sumatra. To get to the bottom must go through the winding road as well as from the path along the roadside and the duration of walking down the road approximately 1 hour drive down. It's like walking along the stone wall of Sipiso-piso. Just imagine high waterfall Sipiso-piso approximately 800 meters above sea level, so no wonder Sipiso-piso waterfall is one of the highest waterfall in North Sumatra.

Going down and climbing down Sipiso-piso waterfall has its own impression. The down time is easy, but, if we come back we have to climb again, quite drained.

After the descent, we capture several photographs of each, then go up again and travel to Lake Toba.

Okey, because it was already late afternoon, we could only enjoy Lake Toba from above, because almost dark and night, we did not go down and see Lake Toba up close. Ok, one more, before this story I end, for travelers who want to see the best view of Lake Toba. If I think one of the best view of Lake Toba Lake from Sipiso-Piso Waterfall because the lake looks amazing with the vinus tree view. If for example want to see Lake Toba from Simalem resort overpriced then the other path can be via Sipiso-piso and can be two advantages at once that Sipiso-piso Waterfall as well as Lake Toba is very nice.
