Chinese city landscape series #3 Guangzhou 广州

in #travel5 years ago

Located in southern China, Guangzhou is on the northern edge of the Pearl River Delta and is one of the most developed cities in China.
It is the hometown of Cantonese food, shopping paradise, and the place where culture meets. It is also a “city of southern countries” where history and modernity coexist. As the earliest trading port in China, Guangzhou has maintained a good atmosphere of trade, which has made the city more and more rapid.
Every street is full of lights, full of fascinating charm. Whether it is the exquisite European classical architecture in the sand-faced buildings, or the commercial arcades with Lingnan charm, or even the gorgeous nights along the Pearl River, you will fall in love with this southern city like the spring season.
Best travel time
September-December
The winter in Guangzhou is shorter and the summer is longer. Warm and humid all year round, the temperature difference is also small. The rainy season is generally concentrated in spring and summer, and the best travel time is autumn and early winter.

Sand surface is an important commercial port in Guangzhou. After centuries, it was a trade-off for domestic and foreign trade during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the Opium War, it became the British and French concessions.
· The epitome of China's modern history and the history of the concession, the island's European-style buildings form a unique open-air building "museum".
· Lourdes Catholic Church, Sandy Christ Church, Customs House, British Snow Factory, HSBC and other buildings are unique.
·The island is like a European town, cafes, churches, restaurants and bars are very popular. It is a good choice to take photos here.
