That is so cool to see the field of crocuses! This is their original, native habitat. We shop for crocus bulbs in catalogs, online, or at stores - looking at pretty pictures from breeders. The people that hunt for plants to introduce to gardens must have been so excited when they first saw fields like this. So cool!
