Welcome my Steemit friends to Saratoga Springs for the 6th in a series of New York State's "Summer place to be". this s home to America's most picturesque Race Track, Saratoga. It is home of The Travers, called the summer "DERBY". We are home to great restaurants. this is our native area, now our summer home, 5 miles from the city of 25,000.

SPAC as we all call it is in my estimation the greatest outdoor concert venue in America. Certainly on a par with the best. I have been to the famous Tangelwood in Mass. To my mind there is no comparison for its sheer beauty and ambience. Tangelwood is a great venue.

The Performing Arts Center opened in 1966. It is the summer home of the New York City Ballet, the Philadelphia Orchestra and The great Freihoffer Jazz Festival two day event. The Dave Mathews Band is there for 2 nights drawing 30,000 per night! Chicago, Steeley Dan, and Foreigner will perform this season.

If you travel to "upstate" New York visit Saratoga in the Adirondack region of New York State.
