Hiking in Bavaria: Risserkogel | Ascent
The first batch of photos taken on our hike up the Risserkogel a few days ago.
It was a great and very varied tour - I highly recommend it!
The first 600 m elevation gain led us through a beautiful forest.
There were lots of small patches of snow.
And a nice variety of mushrooms.
This was our first look on the Risserkogel (right) and Plankenstein (that pike in the middle left).
We had a fantastic view to the Rofangebierge including Guffert (left).

Nice! Love hiking.
Plankenstein looks really unusual.
It really is. I have been hiking most of the smaller mountains in the northern Alps and it is definitly a unique kind of rock.
The whole hike is very versatile, especially if you take the round-route.
Very beautiful! I think it was a steep hike ^^
With the snow on the upper parts of the hike I'd say I wouldn't want it any steeper. It is one of the easier hikes, though. We ascended a total of approx. 1050 meters (~3200 feet) but had plenty of time to do so.
Nice travel, guys.!!!
