Becoming a writer through traveling (7) - Writingamigo finds inspiration babysitting dogs and learns to respect every job in the world.

Any job in the world is so easy,
until you actually try.
That is where respect comes from.

Now reunited with his girlfriend, Writingamigo decided that it is not enough – he wanted to have a whole family. „Be careful what you wish for,“ fate told him, and sent him to an Italian family, where he became a dog babysitter.

Both, Writingamigo and G (let’s call Writingamigo’s girlfriend like that, because it is faster to type, and she also hits right into the spot) always thought that babysitting dogs is more of a fun than actual work. This thought was long gone after they met those 3 monsters: Marea (American Stanford), Logan (Huskie), and Alfa of the pack – Harley (Malamute). 

The only thing which made things a little easier was Samara beach in Costa Rica. Take a note that those dogs were supposed to be diving into snow rather than boiling under the sun, and it was clear that they knew it, because it was impossible to get them outside during the day. Writingamigo even had to dress up as a thief and pretend that he is going to rob a house, just to make those lazy dogs go outside.

However, things were different during the night. Just to make things clear – Harley was heavier than G so sometimes it was hard to tell who is walking who. Also, when those 3 monsters saw other dogs, they would get hysterical and start pulling, pushing, barking, biting, and jumping. After failing to reach other dogs, they used to become even more hysterical, and attack each other… And Writingamigo with G had to control all three of them at the same time. Sometimes they thought that there will be dead bodies, but nothing serious ever happened.

Those nights, while Writingamigo was walking the dogs, he understood that, even though, those dogs were a real nightmare, he will miss them. 

Writingamigo knew – none of us are perfect, so we have to accept our friend’s weaknesses and simply love them as they are.

Also, Writingamigo has learned one more valuable lesson with those dogs – there is no job in the world, which is easy, useless, or not deserving full respect. Anyone who thinks different is either wrong and stupid, or wrong and inexperienced.
