Golden Buddha

The Golden Buddha or Phra Phuttha Maha Suwana Patimakon is a monument made of pure gold weighing 5,500 kilograms. The statue is within the complex of Wat Traimit and it is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Thailand. Experts cannot be entirely sure of when it was created or who made it exactly but according to their observations, the statue looks like as if it was from the Sukhothai Dynasty which is back in the 13th to 14th century.
