A good airport transfer gives a good start on your travel!

If you are an experienced traveler, you for sure know the importance of getting safely to your hotel after arrival. Most people arrive at their hotel, eventually, but it does matter how you actually get there.

There are so many cities in Europe known to have taxi-sharks present at the different airports. These are cab drivers who try to catch some random passengers at the airports here and there, and offer them their airport transfer services. This might be nice, and sometimes it works. But, there are thousands of travelers out there who every year has to pay way to high fees to such drivers, and the drivers often trick them in all possible ways.

They can drive on slower roads, or longer, just for their taximeters to push the price up. Other drivers will come up with additional fees on the transfer upon arrival to the hotel. Such fees might be luggage fees, pick-up fees, or maybe they will be charged for a bottle of water they thought the driver gave them as a gift.

There are other ways taxi drivers trick tourists as well. A common way to trick tourists is by giving wrong change back. This can be done by giving back smaller 200 instead of 2000 (this is often done in countries with local currencies like the Czech Republic and Hungary). Another trick is that they give back the wrong currency. Instead of returning 10,000 Hungarian Forint, they give you some old Romanian LEI.
