Travel Pro Places of Interest #33: Antiques Market, Montevideo Uruguay! Part Three (11 photos)
Hey there my Steemit friends! In these Market Post we explore markets from around the world. The markets are always a lot of fun; you never know what we will see. These days I've been doing mostly video format when I go into the markets but this series of five will be some Travel Pro Old School Real Life Captured Photos!
This market gets set up every Sunday in an area of town I have marked on the Steemit World Map! It's a real cool place to walk around. I used to be surprised by how influential my home country of the United States is, but not anymore. You can see antiques of old Coca-Cola Signs to Singer sewing machines.
American Pop Culture shows up in the form of the 50's era old music albums celebrating the hits of the day. Maybe these things just stood out because I'm American, but there was a lot of other things at this market too. One thing that you could not miss were these unique cups and straws used to drink Yerba Mate, a popular tea like drink in this country.
Of course no market of any type would be complete with out food stands of all types; fresh and cooked! From a guy selling high end deli meat and cheese out of a van to a guy deep frying cheese sticks on the street corner. Now come along with the Travel Pro and let's check this place out!
With over 11 years of travel experience I answer travel and international lifestyle questions. Leave a question in the comments and I may make a Steemit post just for you!

Want to have your post on the map too?
How about hot dogs? They have a different style but they are delicious
I love these markets you can find incredible things, say you can find everything in these markets most of the time these markets open on Sundays
They certainly have hotdogs in Uruguay! Yes these are popular markets on the weekends.
@world-travel-pro You have received a 100% upvote from @steemheater because this post did not use any bidbots and you have not used bidbots in the last 30 days!
Upvoting this comment will help keep this service running.
Thank you, but a bit hard to get excited over an upvote worth less than half a penny. Bid bots suck, and defeat the purpose of steemit. Keep up the good work.
OK. So the thing that jumped out at me in this set of photographs @world-travel-pro is the crystal stall. Given how much they cost here, i'm surprised that these sellers can buy them at a cheap enough price to sell them at a profit.
I'm assuming the buyers don't have too much disposable income to spend on crystals. But maybe I'm wrong. 😁
Interesting perspective. I really never thought about it, but what you say makes a lot of sense. Always a pleasure Gill! Have a great day!
