Travel Pro Places of Interest #119: The Market Place in Beypazari Turkey! Part Two (9 photos)

in #travel5 years ago

Hey there my Steemit friends! In this Travel Pro Places of Interest Series we focus on specific places of interest for a given location. This may come in the form of parks, museums, beaches, cathedrals, and much more. Always an interesting series and always informative!

Beypazari is a small town of about 40,000 residents located an hour outside of the Capital city of Ankara. A few days a week everyone comes together and a market suddenly appears seemingly out of no where. I was fortunate enough to be here on the right day, and I certainly made the best of it.

I love markets! Everyone one here was very social and in a good mood. I got a bit of extra attention being the only white guy around and the only guy taking photos. The locals were happy to pose for the camera and I got some great shots.

The produce looked good however they didn't have the largest variety and there certainly was not any pork being sold here as Turkey is a Muslim country. Overall it was a great market and the prices certainly were cheap, however I was not looking to buy a pound of carrots or a bag of chili peppers; regardless it was a very nice experience being there. Now come along and let's have a taste of what it was like in this two part series of the market place in Beypazari Turkey!

You see it's a very busy market. Good photos to imagine life from a more real focus.

Thank you. What I've set out to do!

Oh, I wish I could be there! That big bin full of green peppers in the 5th photo intrigues me. I have been learning about how to pickle vegetables here lately, and I am anxious to try some hot peppers with onions and garlic...

Nice. They should be good and ready when I come visit you in Argentina, maybe October.....I'll keep you posted. Just bought tickets to Greece. Adios South East Asia....see you next year!

wow, turkey is different from other regions, especially in the turkish market, traders are very orderly

Thank you! You guys rock!

This is quite the market, isn't it? Turkey does have some pretty great markets and I don't think I have been to as many like this as the more traditional antique type flea market. So this was quite the eye opener and I am glad that you brought us here.

It sure was teeming with people and products and I'm not sure that they didn't have a kitchen sink in there somewhere. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put this post together. As always, they're always a treat for the eyes and usually very unique in there presence. So thank you for that and thank you for another experience.
