The boats used are small motorized water taxis called the Abras. They can accommodate 20 people and are the fastest and cheapest mode of transport between Deira and Bur Dubai. About 160 boats work on the road and leave every two minutes during rush hour. 1 Dirham (per passenger) needs to pay to the driver, tickets are not needed. If you want an individual cruise, you can also rent an Abra(boat) on time, reservations are not required. Just go to the station and speak to the boat driver.
