Interesting writing and interesting location.. would love to visit Croatia, those of my friends who have visited only talk good about it, though I hear I should visit in summer time? :)

Definitely summer! And definitely coast! Dubrovnik is the top destination but it's loaded with tourists most time of the year, so if you like something more peaceful but still popular, go to island Hvar or Korčula :)
