Lake Michigan does have a beautiful shoreline. I like that there are so many secluded beach areas. The beaches in my vicinity are outstanding. I love hiking through the dense forest and then finding sand dunes and water as far as the eye can see. It was definitely a surprise to see for the first time. Hard to believe it is sometimes completely frozen over to Wisconsin.
