More Storm Chasing In North West Australia

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

Up here in Broome, our yearly rainfall average is around 600ml, well it is only 2 months into the wet season and we have already doubled the average and are currently at 1200ml for the year, getting 400ml in just the last 48 hours!

After hunkering in for the night at home and listening to the down poor of rain and whistling wind, we woke up this morning excited to go for a drive to see the carnage from overnight, only to find out first obstacle in our driveway...

After clearing the way to get the cars out, which me being lazy, usually leaves mine right where the tree fell, thank God my beautiful wife talked me into putting it in the garage last night! We headed of on our traditional after storm adventure, though we didn't get that far out of town this time as both roads in are totally blocked, and we have another solid week of rain forecast!

Looks like it is crypto trading for me all week as I can not leave town for work till the flood waters subside...
