Rue des teinturiers -Avignon

Here the dyers lived, weaved silk, tanned skin, made candles and chocolate, brewed beer and carpentry. The blame for everything was Sorg, which was allowed to flow under the walls and crossing the city. In the atmosphere of this street, there is something left of that artistic and masterful past.

Somehow in 2013 a group of sculptors decorated several blocks of white limestone with bas-reliefs. City services do not particularly strive to bring this street "in order" and the blocks have remained old, and now it seems that they have been here always. Well, or at least the last thousand years
