Republic of Uzupis is a bohemian district across the river from the old town of Vilnius.
Originally, this used to be a run down part of the city, but when artists started moving in due to low rents and proximity to the city, Uzupis was transformed into a trendy, arty destination.
Uzupis offers a relaxed atmosphere, artistic vibe, hip boutiques, restaurants and cafes. But I suspect that low rents might be a thing of the distant past... Visit Republic of Uzupis, enjoy your life!
