Camaya Coast | Life is breathtakingly simple | The Hidden Boracay of Bataan

Camaya Coast is a beach resort, residential and commercial development in the Province of Bataan. This 450 hectare land lies along the coastline of the Municipality of Mariveles.

Dubbed as the Little Boracay of Bataan or sometimes called as the Hidden Boracay of Bataan, it has coastal length of 3.2 kilometers including 2 coves.

Trivia about its name: the developer Earth and Shore Leisure Communities brought back a name in the past reflective of the town’s (Mariveles) original name which is CAMAYA.

The area is being developed as environmentally friendly despite construction of buildings in making it commercial. They are maintaining balance with nature through various development systems they are implementing, to make sure of nature’s conservation. In fact, they have kept 30% of this land as natural forest reserves which houses several animals like goat, boars and exotic birds.

What really surprised me in this beach resort are the restaurants (Max’s, Yellow Cab, Pancake House, Snack Bar, Big Chill, Figaro etc) surrounding the area and their amazing infinity pool. The hotel simply holds elegance with its relaxing ambiance, having an interior that of Miami, Florida and an exterior that is true to its contemporary Asian design.

The resort is the most accessible one amongst other beach resorts in the area. By land it will take you around 2-3 hours from Manila, but if you opt to arrive fresh and far more relax, you may ride the ferry boat departing from MOA Seaside Terminal which can bring you to the resort for only an hour.

Mariveles has a zigzag road that is quite uncomfortable to drive at specially for beginners and during the night, so be sure you are entrusting your land travel to an expert or professional driver.

Tip: the resort is allowing bottled water and chips from outside. What we did was, we bought 1.5L of bottled water each of us along with different chips and cookies. The meal for the whole day will cost you around 500-600 Php per head. If you have enough money to splurge in whatever food and services they have inside the resort, make sure to buy the Camaya Card that you can load up, for you to be entitled with a 10% discount on your resort purchases. If you decide to get a locker, each locker can accommodate stuffs for 2 persons (49 Php/locker).

We are fortunate enough to be given with complementary chicken meal platter from Max’s which normally costs 299 Php per plate. The money I was able to save were used during our dinner on our way home to Pampanga. 😉

The regular day tour rate is 899 Php per pax which goes down to 499 during promotion. Hotel rates ranges from 7,000 to 16,000 Php per night. Regularly check on their website for any promotions, where you can also do your online booking. (www.camayacoast.com)

We went to Camaya Coast not to be physically active but rather more on relaxation. We almost spent the whole day roaming around the area and enjoying the cold breeze on their infinity pool under the clear blue sky. The resort holds a white sandy beach shore and clear blue water. Though I’m not really into sea water dipping, but I love the sea view and breeze!

They have the beach bar where you can chill out with their variety of alcoholic beverages, cocktails and mock tails. If you are driver, drink moderately or better NOT TO DRINK AT ALL! 😂 ... They also have scheduled live band performances which you will surely enjoy!

If you are into recreational activities the resort is offering free bike ride for 30 minutes, kayaking (100 Php/hour), banana boat (400/pax) and if you are not working on a budget trip you can go for their jetski and speedboat.

Travels will always be special no matter how simple or luxurious it may be, as long as you have your friends and family around, it will definitely be a memorable one. I am elated to with the fact, that I get the opportunity to pamper the people I love with activities and experiences they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

Money is meant to be spent wisely, but knowing your spending limits will cause you NO HARM if you give yourself a treat once in a while. At the end of the day we all need a work-life balance to always bounce back to work productive and highly spirited. Camaya Coast is an ideal place for family get away!

If there’s only 1 thing I hope they can still improve, it will be their shower area, I find it a bit uncomfortable and lacking.
