A Trip To Beautiful Greenwich London
Hi, Steemian
This is Iffy; I will share a beautiful place where I studied and completed my graduation.
A historical and charming town of London also knows for the time in the world, Greenwich.
Yes, I studied in a brilliant GSM, Greenwich School of Management a few minute away from Royal Observatory through which time passes.
I was in love to go almost every day for 2 years to this beautiful place where I was attending my college.
Greenwich is located in South Bank of River Thames London.
You need to use DLR, London’s cable car or overground train to come to this beautiful town of London.
There are a lot of tourist and historical attraction; I captured some of the beautiful moment while I was studying at Greenwich School of Managment.
Greenwich Park & Royal Observatory Just few minute away from our college
there is a historical park, Royal Observatory through which time, passes.
It used to be free before, and almost every day we visited the park and studied over there in free time, but I think they charge a fee to visit the Royal Observatory and Museum at the hill. Inside you can see the GMT and the early inventions of time, clock, astronomical, navigational tools and Physics.
GMT is no longer function for one time based which used to be at Observatory. However, each day a ball drops at precisely 13:00 to mark the exact time.
A pinhole camera invention and all scientific finding still there, and practically you can see outside buildings miles away from a dark room by Pinhole camera principle.
At one side of big Greenwich Park, there is a historical museum, National Maritime Museum.
The Museum has the rich ancient maritime history; you can have a look the parts of sea ships that were leading in the different war, and missions. There is hundred type of ship ‘models, charming and ancient paintings, and the most amazing navigation instrument of that time, As that time the Great Britain has most advanced ships and navigation tools that were used to find the routes for ships. There is also a painting & uniform of Nelson that was wearing at Trafalgar Battle, and he shot dead.
There are also a Cutty Sark, a historical clipper ship, and due to attachment with old Riverfront area of Greenwich they give a station name as Cutty Sark, also a significant and long tunnel under River Thames at Cutty Stark.
Queen House, Royal Navy College, Greenwich University have a lot of attraction for tourist from around the world. The Greenwich Town market is also a lovely market, and there are some amazing pubs and restaurant that serve the most delicious food.
You must visit this amazing historical place; you will enjoy the visit of Greenwich Town.
