My best friend was having his birthday in Bali, so a whole crew of us went over to celebrate. I had to arrive a day after everyone due to work commitments.

So I asked if he could organise someone to pick me up from the airport.

After a 5 1/2 hour flight from Brisbane to Denpasar, I walk out of customs to a sea of drivers holding up name signs. I'm still a bit tired as I got the early flight and didn't sleep on the plane, so I'm walking slowly squinting at the sea of name signs trying to find my name.

I finally see my name on a sign at the back of the crowd and I meet my driver Wayan.

Package received, out for delivery

It's about 1pm and the crew is already out adventuring. So we make our way to rendezvous with them. They change meeting locations several times until we lock in to meet at a waterfall in Ubud. So this drive takes over 1 1/2 hours and I have no idea where I am.

We arrive at some street in a small village and Wayan says "We are here" and points down a road and asks for payment. I was like hellllllll no you dont get paid til I meet my friends as I have no idea where I am.

So he reluctantly agrees to help me find my friends... We walk down some streets until we finally see this amazing water fall.

But no sign of the crew. So we walk down the mountain to the river. And the place was full of people swimming and chilling in the water on this hot day.

So many instagram photo ops for all the people of instagram.

No luck in finding anyone down there so I point to the top of the water fall and say "they must be up there". Wayan and I start climbing the stairs to get to the top of the waterfall.

On the way we seen this goanna sunbaking

At the top of the waterfall we finally find the crew...

So now the package has been delivered.

We negotiated the price and it works out to be about $40 Australian, I gave Wayan a tip and he was on his way.

So good to finally see the crew! We get some bintang beer to celebrate

Ladies... rules are rules....
