Holland, currently known as Netherlands is one of the most beautiful in the world. Even when people visit Netherlands, their main destination is usually Amsterdam (the Las Vegas equivalent in Europe). There is a saying in Dutch describing Netherlands:-
Money is made in Rotterdam, is divided in The Hague and is spent in Amsterdam!
Rotterdam housing the ports and harbors of Netherlands does all the trading and brings in the money.
The government resides in The Hague and the money is distributed from here.
Amsterdam is where you have all the fun - pubs, parks, de wallen or the red light district and so on.
Many of us might think that Amsterdam is the only place in Netherlands worth visiting and therefore I am going to give you a glimpse of the quiet beauty of Hague. Sorry the photos are not top-notch, they are from my family visit to Holland.
Spring in Holland
This is the best time to be here in Hague, the months of April and May when there are flowers everywhere.
This is also the time when you can see the most beautiful spring garden in the world in full bloom!

Everything turns lush green, the water, trees, little shrubs....
These are not parks or any tourist spots... just the waysides of Hague and still beautiful.
The weather is also great, with just the right touch of warmth.
Autumn in Hague
The time the greens turn brown and yellow and orange and get ready to shed.
If you visit Hague in Autumn, what you should never miss is the crowning jewel of Clingendael, The Japanese Garden.
It is a fragile and delicate garden which opens only twice a year (during Spring and Autumn) for a short period of around 20 days.
Winter in Hague
It gets really windy and cold here during winter and there is snowfall in alternate years.

The photographs taken at the festival of flowers are wonderful to see. Such beautifully manicured gardens. And being in the Japanese garden in autumn would be such a delightful experience. 💖🍁💖

No, I have yet to visit Europe. My ancestry is Scottish and I'm hoping to visit the small town of Cousland this year or the next and then possibly go to other places in Europe.
