Oymyakon
Oymyakon is a rural locality in Oymyakonsky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located along the Indigirka River, 30 kilometers northwest of Tomtor on the Kolyma Highway.
Founded in the corner of Siberia in Russia, the city is the coldest spot on Earth. During the winter, for 21 hours 24 hours a day, the air is dark and temperatures reach below 58 ° F (15 ° C). If we were to live in this place, we should constantly use frozen meat.
Oymyakon is always covered with snow, and one of the reasons for its overheating is that it is located between two mountains that does not allow cold weather to be displaced.
In 1933, the temperature reached 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) below zero. The area's cold is deadly, and yet, there are nearly 500 people living in this city. How much life in cold can be painful and difficult.
The village entrance is also called Omyakon, which means "the cold pole".
So that their main meals are made up of icy fish such as salmon, whitefish and even liver of the horse.
