A Japanese exotic temple full of emotion 〜Japanese beautiful shrine and temples and gosyuin （Moutsuji temple）〜

We introduce Hiraizumi · Moutsuji. is a temple located in Hiraizumi-cho, Iwate prefecture. It is near that famous Chusonji temple.
こんにちは。平泉・毛越寺をご紹介します。毛越寺は岩手県の平泉町にある寺院です。有名な中尊寺の近くにあります。
Opening mountain is a famous monk in Japan. "Garan" was built by the authority power over this land. It is said that it was about the size of surpassing the famous Chusonji temple, counting the 400 monasteries of the temple at the heyday.That famous monk has crossed the Tang which was a developed country at the time. The travel books mentioned at this time are said to be the "three great travel stories" along with the books of Marco Polo and the "Great Tang West Region".
開山は比叡山延暦寺の高僧慈覚大師円仁です。奥州藤原氏二代藤原基衡から三代秀衡の時代に多くの伽藍が造営されました。全盛期には堂塔40僧坊500を数え、中尊寺をしのぐほどの規模であったとも言われています。
円仁は遣唐使として唐に渡っています。この時に記した『入唐求法巡礼行記』は、マルコ・ポーロの『東方見聞録』と玄奘三蔵（いわゆる西遊記の三蔵法師）の『大唐西域記』とともに「三大旅行記」とされています。
This is "Gosyuin" of Motsuji.It also contains the meaning "please promptly fulfill the wishes of the poorest people" promptly.
毛越寺の御朱印がこちらです。印形（真ん中の赤い印）の「ベイ」は、“速やかに一番貧しい人の願いを成就させてください”という意味。
There were plenty of temples, but now there are only a few of them, and they are also restored.
たくさんのお堂がありましたが、現在は数える程しかなく、それらも復元されたものです。
Motsuji is blessed with rich nature.
毛越寺は豊かな自然に恵まれています。
Motusji has a big pond. When I visited, two boats were floating in that pond. The ship is used in the event designated as an important intangible cultural property of the country.
散策すると大きな池（浄土庭園大泉が池）があります。私が訪れたとき、浄土庭園大泉が池には２隻の船が浮かんでいました。その名も「龍頭鷁首船（りゅうとうげきしゅせん）」。龍頭鷁首船は、国の重要無形文化財に指定されている「延年の舞」などの催しで使用されます。
This is a waterway that takes water into the pond. This was discovered during excavation. It is an extremely precious and unusual remains.
これは、遣水（やりみず）です。遣水とは池に水を取り入れる水路のこと。ここでは、浄土庭園大泉が池に水が入ります。この遣水は発掘調査中に発見されました。遣水の遺構は奈良の宮跡庭園を除いては例がなく、また、平安時代の遺構としては唯一のものだそうです。

Motsuji was a symbol of Hiraizumi. It is an old temple that makes me feel the aspect of the past.
