Travel Photo Journal to Zion National Park and Pioneer Park in Utah

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

After attending Adobe Max 2017 in Las Vegas, a friend and I wanted to get away from city life for a little bit to help clear our minds. So we found a cheap Airbnb in Pine Valley, Utah. With plenty of hiking and exploring options close by, we decided to explore Zion National Park and Pioneer Park. Here are some photos from our travels.

First Day - Sunday October 22,2017

Zion National Park was about 1hour and 30mins away from our Airbnb in Pine Valley, Utah. On approaching Springdale, Utah (Closest city to Zion National Park) we run into some traffic. They were doing some road construction and there was some one way traffic in and out of Springdale.

Once we got into Zion National Park, our time was limited because we got a late start. So we decided to take the Shuttle Bus to hit the scenic route. Stop 5 - Zion Lodge we felt would be the best stop to try first since there was food at this stop, and a short trail to hike.

After crossing a small pedestrian bridge over a river we go down the Lower Emerald Pools Trail (About 0.6 miles)

After completing Kayenta Trail we hopped on the shuttle at The Grotto to continue seeing the rest of the scenic road before it got too dark and the shuttle stopped running.

Second Day - Monday October 23,2017

We start the second day exploring Pioneer Park located in St. George, Utah, only about 40 minutes from Airbnb.

Although I wish I had more time to explore, especially Zion National Park. I had a great time exploring what Utah had to offer. Pictures are hard to grasp the true experience of the majestic views, but I tried to capture them the best I could.
