Engagement Shoot Travels - Best Recommendation Challenge!
My Fiancee and I recently got engaged and are looking to take our engagement photos in the Mountains of Northern Georgia.
We both absolutely love the mountains, which is why we chose the Northern Georgia Mountains as the place to do the photo shoot. Our photographer also just happens to be from Georgia as well so it really was a two for one deal!
Last Summer we took a trip to North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee and absolutely feels in love with the Smokey Mountains and Appalachian Trail. One look at this picture we took and its easy to see why we both feel in love with this area.
However, as we're beginning to plan this next trip, I'm running into some trouble. I've picked out some absolutely wonderful spots to visit but am not entirely sure which location would be the best one to take our engagement photos at? So I was wondering if any Steemians have visited Northern Georgia around the Chattahoochee area and could provide some recommendations.
A couple things to consider. First, I have a dog. She's a 45 lb Australian Shepherd who will be accompanying us on the trip. So the place will need to be pet friendly.
In order to make this challenge a bit easier. I've already narrowed the some places down, however if you have been to another place that may offer a better experience then this, please feel free to list it as well.
1. DeSoto Falls
As you can see from the pictures here, this place looks like an absolute dream! So its pretty easy to see why this place has made the top of my list so far!
It appears to offer a desolate backdrop, which apart from its stunning beauty, will also help to keep tourist from walking through out photos as well.
2. Amicalola Falls
Amicalola falls offers an absolutely huge waterfall with natural trees all around! In addition, the location is a huge benefit as this is the location located closet to our photographer. So in terms of convenience this made it pretty high up on the list as well!
3.Helton Creek Falls
Helton Creek Falls offers a beautiful waterfall background with just enough landscape in the foreground to ensure all of our photos can be accomplished! In addition, in terms of photography, this location has to be a dream, as this waterfall would make for a perfect long exposure photograph!!
The Challenge
Now for the good part. Whoever can recommend the best place for us to visit and take our engagement shoot photos as wins!!! It really is that simple!!

These all places are really good. I haven't visited them but seeing the pictures and description,I will go with DeSoto Falls. I think you can take a lot of candid and Instagram pictures there as the color of water is really blue and it is a good background.

I'd suggest the DeSoto falls, its uniqueness is one of a kind. You could have a camp or hiking after the photoshoot though. It would also be nice 😉

I will suggest Amicalola falls... Its a very place.. If u see very well from the picture u will realize that the tress there have red leaves. U can even use the leave in place of flower(kidding)... Nice post

Sounds like you already have some great ideas of places to check out in Georgia. However, if you guys even find your self in the Hawaiian Archipelago let me know. We have some pretty stunning waterfalls and exotic locations which make for great photo-shoot backdrops. Most are dog friendly and simple day hikes around the islands. DeSoto Falls i recommended this one.On seeing this pic i really amazed,there is type of waterfalls also hear in earth.we see this type of water falls atleast one time in our life.thanks for sharing.when you go there pls share all pic.
