Wanderlust: SAGADA MOUNTAIN PROVINCE ⛺ Day 5 [DOWNTOWN EATS AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE COFFEE]

It is our last day in Sagada, we need to spend our time wisely and enjoy every minute. So, first stop for the day, SAGADA WEAVING.

Welcome to Sagada Weaving

Sagada Weaving is one of the most visited attractions in Sagada. We are excited to see what's in store inside so jumping off the van I went straight inside the gate. There is a quaint shabby door that says "Come in" and then there is a sign telling the visitors that "NO CAMERA ALLOWED INSIDE". Sigh* So, we can't take pictures of the actual weaving sessions and the weavers inside.

Oh well, what can we do, we need to abide by their rules, maybe they just wanted it to be private so that the weavers are not exposed and not be disturbed. It's for you to see what is in store inside but I can definitely describe what I saw.

It is not a very big place. There is divider inside the room, the other half is the store wherein the weaved stuff is located like bags, purses, wallets, keychains, clothes, and cloth that can be sewn to a new dress. The other half of the store is where the weavers are weaving with a wooden tool that has so many yarn or the ones that they are using to make a weaved cloth. This is the best place to buy some things to bring home to the folks and friends, though I think the prices here are much expensive, the quality of the product is of great quality.

Next stop, BANA'S CAFE. It is a small coffee shop that serves one of the most expensive kinds of coffee in the world. The coffee farmers in Sagada has recently had an award for The Medaille Gourmet in the International Contest of Coffees Roasted in their Countries of Origin organized by the Agency for Valorization of Agricultural Products. Sibayan farmers had been picking up the poop of a wild civet cat in Sagada which happen to have eaten coffee berries and collects them at Bana's Cafe at Poblacion. One cup of this fresh wild civet coffee cost $4 (usd) a cup or P200 (php). You can also buy fresh wild civet coffee beans in Bana's Cafe.

there is a long process of making this kind of coffee. Imagine, the wild civet cat will eat coffee berries and you will patiently wait for them to poop and process the coffee, and don't worry, the coffee beans are clean :D

We also went to Sagada Lemon Pie House. The interior comprises of wood materials and dreamy artifacts. There is a low table and floor seats, very homey and you can really smell the pie cooking in the oven. We tried their lemon pie and it is good, I rate it 3/5.

One more restaurant that you can dine here in Sagada is the Sagada Happy House Restaurant. We ate here after a long hike so we are really famished. The food is good but the service is a bit slow because I think there not much service crew here and the people keep on coming especially when its dinner time.

I wasn't able to capture what we ate here because haha we are too hungry to take it and we waited like 20 minutes or so before the food came.

After we went hiking down going to Hanging Coffins we had lunch at Shamrock Cafe 2 it is just at the entrance of the town proper. It is a small cafeteria that has a Filipino Cuisine Menu and it differs depends on what they prepared to cook that day. We had fried marinated milkfish and wild rice.

We also tried Masferre Country Inn and Restaurant. The food here is great and affordable for its serving size. We ate here one lunchtime and there is a huge crowd in line but since the restaurant is a bit big inside they were able to accommodate all of the visitors.

Sam and I shared the meal. We chose a stir fry veggies, fried chicken and "liempo" bbq pork.

Along the way in downtown, there are many vendors and stores who sell "pasalubong" gifts that you can buy and bring home to your friends and loved ones.

I bought some Sagada Coffee with me (how I wish the wild civet coffee but it was expensive LOL) and also some fresh veggies and black berry jam yum!

There are a lot more choices when you want to have a foodtrip with your friends in Sagada. If you are on a budget it is better to have a budget plan so you can maximize your money the whole trip.
