Cows, pain, and a massage in "romantic lighting".. Backpacking in Sweden, day #3
Hey fellas, I won't bother with a long introduction and get you right into
Day #3
After the beautiful evening with stunning sunset and delicious packaged food (I'm kidding, it tasted terrible- I mean, what would you expect from room-temperature rice with tomato sauce that didn't even cover all of the rice so that it was basically dry, cold rice?) I slept horribly. It is true that sleeping on the wooden floor of a windshelter is NOT comfortable.
I had a sleeping mat, I swear, but it was old and really didn't do anything.
My legs hurt but, you know what Tam, stop complaining and get to the story!
We hit the road after breakfast (this time without sparkly milk), which was around 11 a.m. In Nyhamnsläge we bought food for the next three days, as our map told us that there wouldn't be supermarkets around for that long.
Even though we hadn't walked for long, I was not motivated. After a while we started passing through nature reserves and ran into about 50 cows near Mölle (ok, we walked in slow-motion into 50 cows because our backpacks were heavy from the hoarded cinnamon rolls, tube cheese and crispbread)!
We survived though and had our lunch break in Mölle by the harbour. We watched some children fish for crabs. Obviously, our food was delicious. And I'm not kidding this time! It tasted like heaven on earth <3
After filling up our water bottles it started to rain, so we quickly put away our stuff and started walking. As soon as we got on our path and it stopped raining, everyone got excited.
Only a fraction of the distance we have walked so far.
A fraction of the distance we still have in front of us. You can't see the lighthouse yet.
We "ran" into Germans again. Why even live in Germany when you can have their cultural influence everywhere else?
You know what we also ran into? Sheep.
They didn't like us.. But there's the lighthouse in the distance!
And now even closer!
Taddaa!
When we arrived at Kullaberg (about 4 p.m. now), everyone was half dead. And to our delight we found out that the wind shelter that was supposed to be right there was in Josefinelust- which meant walking 2,4 km more because, obviously, we weren't allowed to camp right by the lighthouse.
Those views tho..
So after some snacks we gladly hit the road again (insert: Hit the road Jack.. don't you come back no more no more no more no more..). It was pure pain for our legs and especially our feet.
When we finally got to Josefinelust, we found out that there was no drinking water like it had said on the map. I don't know why we even trusted that stupid map anymore..
We survived though.
This was our beautiful sleeping place which definitely wasn't full of spiders and had such soft beds ;)
And the evening ended really well. We told each other childhood memories, I did yoga and Ella put her flashlight around her yellow water bottle (which, sadly, was empty, but it produced really romantic lighting!). Then we made Oscar massage our backs.

A wonderful way to end your day Tam. Going the extra mile, would have made the beds even more cozy.
Lovely images of such beautiful countryside along the coast.
Thanks :)
Oh boy, no drinking water, yikes! Looks like an amazing hike/adventure/landscape.
