What a great travel article. That Island is the source of many fables and even some conspiracy theories. If you enjoy this kind of sceneries and landscapes, you'll surely love the Azores. We got plenty of Volcanos and Hot Furnaces for you to see! 😎
Thanks for the report and amazing photos! I'm glad Chris was able to take that photo without injuring himself. That was quite risky.
Thansk :) The island is unique in many ways. We did visit a graveyard where some of the most famous pirates are burried...quite an interesting place...Chris did take a chance taking that photo, but if we hadn't met the German guy, who had just done the same, he would have taken the risk.
I have seen photos from the Azores and to me it looks like a MUST visit. I still like very much to go hiking and the landscape at the Azores looks absolutely stunning.
