While savoring the delicacies, there is absolute silence between the host and his guests. They look at each other, and concentrate their attention on the function of consuming the different goodies served. When the meeting is drawing to a close, the hosts sing their favorite song in honor of their guests and, even more, if they are foreigners. The rules of Korean courtesy impose that the guests, in turn, correspond to the gesture also toning their favorite songs, even if they lack the slightest skills to do so. Often, therefore, hosts and guests sing, in unison, a tremendous concert of out-of-the-way voices. But Koreans do not flinch or blush. Smile ... Smile. And they keep singing. And the guests do the same.
