Royal Enfield, the Bullet Bike from India ----- Royal Enfield, the Bulled Motorrad von Indien

For many it is a special name, Royal Enfield. A dream, a brand, a bike.
For me as a former motorcyclist the name was not unknown years ago. In India, this classic motorcycle is nicknamed "The Bullet". And only in India.

Importers can also have a copy delivered to their own country outside India. There are 2 variants of the bike. One with 350ccm engine and one with a 500ccm engine.

When we were in the desert in Rajasthan, we drove to the accommodation with the Royal Enfield. It was a great feeling to drive through the steppe on the eternally straight routes. To get the warm wind of the desert in your face. The feeling of freedom was very strong.

After years of enduro riding, it was a small change from an upright seat on an enduro to a casual seat on the Royal Enfield. The seats on the bike were always comfortable. It's almost like a sofa. Broad and comfortable. Only she didn't like the recurring hills and potholes as much as my Kawasaki Enduro at that time. It didn't matter if a pothole came, the more she and I liked it. Here on the Chopper it's different. This is the look and made for quiet driving on flat roads.

It was a nice experience, a great ride. Blubbert the bike slowly always before itself.....

Für viele ist es ein besondere Name, Royal Enfield. Ein Traum, eine Marke, ein Bike.
Für mich als ehemaliger Motorradfahrer war der Name vor Jahren nicht unbekannt. In Indien wird dieses klassische Motorrad mit dem Spitzname „ The Bullet „ hergestellt. Und nur in Indien.

Durch Importeure kann man sich auch ein Exemplar in sein eigenes Land außerhalb von Indien liefern lassen. Es gibt 2 Varianten des Bikes. Einmal mit 350ccm Motor und einmal mit einem 500ccm Motor.

Als wir in Rajasthan in der Wüste waren, sind wir mit der Royal Enfield zur Unterkunft gefahren. Es war ein tolles Gefühl, damit auf den ewig gerade Strecken durch die Steppe zu fahren. Der warme Wind der Wüste im Gesicht zu bekommen. Das Gefühl der Freiheit war sehr stark.

Da ich jahrelang Enduro gefahren bin, war das schon eine kleine Umstellung von dem aufrechten Sitz auf einer Enduro nun eher lässig auf der Royal Enfield zu sitzen. Gemütlich waren die Sitze auf dem Bike allemal. Schon fast wie ein Sofa. Breit und bequem. Nur die immer wieder kommenden Straßenhügel und Schlaglöcher mochte sie nicht so gerne wie meine Kawasaki Enduro damals. Da war es egal ob ein Schlagloch kommt, je mehr desto mehr hat es ihr und mir gefallen. Hier auf der Chopper ist das anders. Die ist den Look und für das ruhige Fahren auf ebenen Straßen gemacht.

Es war eine schöne Erfahrung, eine tolle Fahrt. Blubbert das Bike langsam immer vor sich her....
