Table Mountain | Natural Wonder of the World

We wanted to document our experience of the quickest Hike up Table Mountain: Platteklip Gorge. The hike is incredible but what we didn't expect were the other people to be so damn awesome too. A remember NOO SMOKING IS ALLOWED. haha

Table Mountain, now officially one of the 7 Natural wonders of the world, is also one of the most iconic landmarks on earth. It's absolutely no wonder that Cape Town has become a number tourist destination. A visit to the top is a must do for locals and tourists alike as it provides brilliant views over the city, Camps Bay, Table Bay, the West Coast to the north and the Cape Peninsula to the south. The Cable Car is the best option for those that have limited fitness and time. For those looking to stretch their legs and to get a little more in touch with nature, there are a number of hikes to the top. We opted for Platteklip Gorge. This route is said to be the easiest. With roughly 1,5 to 2 hours of "natural stairs" leading the way, we would definitely call it the quickest, but not necessarily the easiest. But if you pack a lunch, take lots of water and take your time to leisurely enjoy the views, the people, the plants and the animals there should be no excuse not to try this hike at least once in your life.
