Hello Steemit,

Here you have a 2-day route in Miami:

Let's start knowing a little bit of this amazing city.

  • Miami is a port city located in southeastern Florida, United States, around the Miami River, between the Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean. It is the seat of Miami-Dade County, and therefore, the main, most central and most populous city in the Miami Metropolitan Area.

Some curiosities of Miami:

  • In 2008, she was awarded the title "Cleanest city in the United States" by Forbes magazine
  • The port of Miami is considered the port that houses the largest volume of cruise ships in the world
  • Miami, is a city with the majority of the inhabitants are Latin as Little Havana and Little Haiti

First day

  • Among white sandy beaches, towering skyscrapers and intense nightlife, the city of Miami does not rest.
  • The Art Deco circuit, the good table, and a complete shopping guide.

Art Deco is an artistic movement that emerged in the year 1920 and had its peak during the Great Depression, at which time, Americans were interested in an architecture that would help lift the spirits of the country, something that the fantasy could achieve Art Deco style.

Something that we realized, was that the buildings with Art Deco style were mainly characterized by being based on elementary geometry (cubes, spheres, and straight lines).

  • Walking from the center of the city to the north crossing the bay to Miami beach by the wonderful Venetian causeway.

Bayside Marketplace is a two-story outdoor mall located in downtown Miami, Florida.
The Venetian Causeway is a historic bridge it crosses Biscayne Bay between Miami on the mainland and Miami Beach on a barrier island.

  • Long avenue that encharges eleven artificial isolates throw twelve bridges. Built-in the twenty years, the road is flanked by old lighthouses, and with plenty of cyclists all the time.
  • Already become a city legend, Ocean Drive avenue is no doubt the most emblematic site of south beach, the most popular area of Miami beach.

Ocean Drive is one of the most popular areas of Miami. It is a promenade located in the South Beach area where all the topics about Miami come true; Sculptural bodies skating along the promenade, dream beaches, tropical cocktails, loud Latin music, and Art Deco buildings.

  • Edging the beaches of white sands that give the ocean, the street is a succession of skaters zigzagging between luxury cars, palm trees that make shadow on the asphalt, hotels of all types, restaurants bullicious, and a sound of Latin music.

  • South Beach in 820 Ocean Drive, the restaurant belongs to the Cuban singer Gloria Estefan. Exquisite the fried cow, traditional Cuban dish made with meated vaccine that is served with rice and black beans.

South Beach is a neighborhood famous for its beaches and the exclusive atmosphere of its lively nightclubs and restaurants of famous chefs. Lincoln Road Mall is a pedestrian street with stores of different chains and alternative boutiques.

  • Visit Lincoln Road is a pedestrian street that functions as a historic mall located in Miami BeachJust North of 14th Street between Washington and Pennsylvania Avenue lies a pedestrian-only thoroughfare that will transport you back in time you may even forget that you’re actually in South Beach.

  • Española Way is a charming Old World throwback in the heart of South Beach.

Española Way holds an important place in Miami’s heart and is well worth the visit. In a city that is constantly trying to re-invent itself, Española Way is a part of South Beach that has remained relatively untouched by modern trends and fads. The area is quaint yet quirky in a loving way. From the architecture to the aura, Española Way is a different kind of South Beach.

  • Dinner time. A good alternative in Coconut Grove is CocoWalk, a three-story commercial complex with cinemas, shops, bars and many places to eat.
  • There are several well-known restaurant chains, such as Cheesecake Factory, which offers salads, meats, pizzas, pastas, seafood and its very special Chocolate Chip Cookie-Dough cheesecakes, with whipped cream and chocolate chips decorating the dish. A delicious dessert to end the day.

Second day

  • To the west, Highway 41 goes to the Everglades National Park, a huge wetland covered with swamps and marshes in which large crocodiles are the most common postcard.

It is the largest subtropical natural park in the United States, and has rare and endangered species. It has been designated a World Heritage Site, International Biosphere Reserve and Marshlands of International Importance

  • The only way to get to know the area is on board hovercraft equipped at the rear with huge fans that allow you to navigate at full speed. Peeking in the swampy waters, hidden among reeds, crocodiles watch visitors pass by without even startling.

  • Miami remains the great paradise of purchases of electronics, clothing, footwear or toys. And for that, this point deserves a special section. From the big shopping centers to the flirty shops of Collins Av. And the Ross, Marshall’s, TJ Max-style supermarkets, everything goes when it comes to looking for a good opportunity. Shopping centers (malls) are all over the city.
  • Among them, the Dolphin Mall stands out as the largest shopping center in the city, with more than two hundred stores and several dozen restaurants and entertainment venues (11,401 NW 12th Street).
  • At a dizzying pace, people travel through business and make use and abuse of credit cards in the outlets of the big brands or in exclusive premises of Swarosky or Polo Ralph Lauren.
  • Most of the shopping centers repeat stores: Gap, Banana Republic, Foot Locker, Gymboree, New Balance, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret or The Disney Store usually have a store in everyone.
  • About 40 minutes from Miami, Sawgrass Mills (12801 West Sunrise Blvd., Sunrise) is a shopping paradise with outlet stores of all brands.
  • The next stop in Miami is Little Havana, a neighborhood that is the heart of the Cuban community in the city. Here, the first Cuban exiles who escaped the island after the victory of the Fidel Castro revolution began arriving in the 1960s.

  • The axis of the area is the traditional Calle 8, where the best Cuban food stores are concentrated where it is possible to taste pork casitas, old clothes, fried cow and the exquisite tostón, a fried green banana seasoned with garlic and salt which is typical of Caribbean gastronomy.

Life in Little Havana revolves around Calle Ocho. This street coexists with artisans making cigars, dozens of Cuban restaurants with a lot of flavor or some stores where vibrant music sounds, all wrapped in a nostalgic atmosphere and a strong coffee aroma. In this same street you can find a Walk of Fame with the best known Cuban stars.

One of the most charming places in Little Havana is located on Calle Ocho at 15 Avenue; This is Parque Máximo Gómez, a place where Cubans of old age meet to play dominoes or chess while trying to fix the world by discussing Cuba's past and future.

You cannot visit Little Havana without trying an authentic Cuban coffee, a very powerful and extremely sweet espresso that they serve in very small glasses although, if what you want is to refresh yourself, nothing better than having a Guarapo, a kind of sugar cane juice.
