Travel Thailand #1 Sleeping in a nighttrain

in #travel7 years ago

We just had an awesome night in a train! 😳Yes, in a train! You wouldn't expect that...to be honest we weren't expecting that. Sleeping together with 60 other people in one compartment doesn't sound like a lot of fun 😜... but it was actually great!

We took the nighttrain from Suratthani, Thailand back to Bangkok after we spent a wonderful week on Ko Phi Phi Island, Thailand.

The trip started at around 9pm at the Suratthani train station and we arrived in Bangkok the next morning at 8:15 am in perfect shape for the day! You can even have breakfast and decent coffee on board.

There is always an upper bed and a lower bed. The lower bed is the preferable one, it's a little bit bigger, you don't have to climb the stairs and the bed curtains close a little bit better. Therefore the lower bed is a bit more expensive. But after all it's the cheapest and most comfortable way to travel longer distances in Thailand. There is also an option to sleep in a separate 1st class compartment.

This shows us again, sometimes you just have to take a risk, don't think too much, just do it!

Enjoy the happy experiences after low expectations to the fullest!!!

Nice! And I guess the train noise is loud enough to cover other people's snorring hahaha.
We did also sleep in night trains but for distances like from Switzerland to Austria or to Germany. Much much cheaper before than flying and you arrive there in the morning after some sleep. Followed 🐳! We do travel vlogs on YouTube and would like to make global connections on Steemit 🌎! Follow us back so we can be friends 🤗

Thank you so much for your comment! We will have a look at YouTube 😉! 🤗

Yeheeey :) thank you so much! Looking forward for your posts

Really living requires getting out and doing things, what a great way to see Thailand!
