Exploring Berlin on bike

Schönen Tag!

Good day ! and I feel great in this historic and the coolest city in Europe - BERLIN. Soon after check-in..I rent a bicycle for ten euros for a full day excursion.. not too bad huh? I guess that is the best way to learn about the city of Berlin and to enjoy the unique and unparalleled view into the history of Germany.

I am excited and overwhelmed, because the locals told me that if you want to take photos in Berlin, you better bring your power bank..and don't forget the charger too hehe. I took a route through the river meadows and cross over the river Spree via Berlin’s most beautiful Oberbaum Bridge overlooking the Berliner Dom.

I ride along Unter den Linden and saw this majestic building, The Berliner Dom which looked really impressive. It’s located next to the Museum Island in Mitte. The entrance fee is five euros and you can climb to the top of the dome for a beautiful view over Berlin’s center.

Well, guess I would rather ride and enjoy the view from below and I stumbled upon this very intricate and delicate detailed sculptures “Bathers on the Spree” located on Spreepromenade opposite the Dom. Bathers on the spree consists of three female bodies and a boy, made out of bronze. As a tourist, it’s quite irresistible not to get a selfie hehe.

I continue riding to Strausberger square when from a distance I saw a bust of a familiar face stands on a two meters high white concrete socle I move closer and finally I came face to face with one of the most influential figures in human history,the philosopher and revolutionary socialist - Karl Marx.

I have read his famous book, the Das Kapital and I guess is still valid today, when he quotes that as profit soars to several hundred percent people don’t stop at anything. Well..just look at the financial institutions today hehe.
