Panama Canal (Mira Flores)

In order to use public transportation in Panama City, you need the Panama Transportation Card described in the previous article.

Purchase the transportation card described above, charge it, and head to the Albrook mall at a nearby subway station. It is the end point of the subway and there is only one line, so there will be no confusion.

When you get off the subway station, you will see the terminal on the opposite side. If you cross the viaduct gently, it is the terminal (the bus to other cities in Panama or Costa Rica departs here), and the other side is the Albrook Mall, a fairly large shopping center.

Since this article is about going to the Panama Canal, pass the information on the above places (if blogging is good, will you post it?) and go back to the main story...

In conclusion, take the C810 bus and drop it off right in front of the Panama Canal Miraflores.

It is about this place. Upload a screenshot based on Mapsmi.

The map says D-via espana, but if you go directly there is no D on it. But the location is near there. If you're not sure, ask the locals as follows.

"Donde esta metrobus por visitar Miraflores?"

"Where's the metro bus to Miraflores?"

It is marked Miraflores on the C810 bus display. This is the end point and the crossing point. After sightseeing in the Panama Canal, you can take this bus back to the Albrook Mall from where you got off again.

If you run for about 15-20 minutes, you will arrive at Miraflores as follows.

You can buy a ticket on the first floor of the place that says Imax, and the ticket price is as follows.

Foreigners only see $20 for the canal and showroom, and $30 for IMAX. Looking at other blogs, Imax didn't say that there was nothing to see. Still, $20 is honestly expensive, but let's be satisfied with seeing the Panama Canal. Card payment is possible for reference!

If you buy a ticket and go up the escalator, you will see the following sign.

And this is the entrance to the exhibition hall.

It has a total of 4 floors and the Panama Canal Observation Deck should go up to the 4th floor.

There is an entrance to the exhibition hall on the first floor, and when you enter there, it is like a museum on each floor, and when you see the museum, you will see the observation deck on the fourth floor.

Tip) Ask the staff when to enter the boat when entering. It is also available in English, not Spanish.

As soon as I arrived, I said that I would pass now, so I immediately went to the 4th floor using an elevator and saw the following views.

If you wait a long time, you can see the water filling and draining, and the water gate closing and opening as shown below.

The left side is closed, and the right side is open.

The original two places have different levels of water. When the water is filled on the left and the water is drained on the right, and the height is the same, then the water gate is opened.

Afterwards, what appeared to be a car (?) dragged a large ship along the trail, and each of the small ships followed.

It's pretty boring, but isn't it just to see this?

I visited in the morning, so I saw the ship moving slowly from left to right.

ps asks that the ship passes from left to right in the morning (Pacific to Atlantic) and in the afternoon from right to left (Atlantic to Pacific). However, it is not always decided when the time will be, and it seemed to be flexible to adjust how long the ship passed and when it passed.

After seeing this, you can see the exhibition room and take the same bus from the place where you got off as mentioned above to return to Albrook Mall.

I asked the staff and said that the buses came every 15-20 minutes.

(Never!!! Don't take a taxi that greets you at the entrance. It's probably going to be overpriced.)

Below are some pictures taken in the showroom.

And Wi-Fi is available here. I haven't tried it in the showroom, but the cafe has wifi, and when I connected it, it went well.
