The Backpack Girl #9 - The Red Fort, Delhi
Hey guys!
Today, I check out another very popular monument here in Delhi and it is called the Red Fort. Constructed in 1639, this is another ancient monument that you must check out when you are in the capital city of India.
This fort holds another very important significance for India in that, every year on the independence day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the flag of India at the main gate of this fort.
I am really enjoying visiting all these historical places and learning so much about the past of my country. I hope you guys enjoy the photos :)
hey travel-cuisine, thank you for post on the Red Fort. I have very fond memories of the place even though I was there in 1991! Do they still have the huge open market outside the fortified walls? When are you going to give us the local food tips?
