Rock Garden, Chandigarh

Chandigarh located in the Northen India and the capital of two states, Haryana and Punjab. It is the first well-planned city in India. And I am lucky enough that I live here. Chandigarh is famous for there different tourist places and a wide variety of delicious food.

Recently I visited one of the most popular places in Chandigarh is Rock Garden. Rock Garden located in the sector one near Sukhna Lake. It will take approx 3-4 hours to explore the whole park. The visiting hours of Rock Garden are 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. Rock Garden is a great place for** art lovers**.

Rock Garden designed by Nek Chand in 1957. Rock Garden is also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden. Rock Garden is basically a Sculpture Garden, and whole designs and sculptures are made up of waste materials of homes, industries.

Rock Garden is a prime attraction in Chandigarh. Rock Garden has around more than5000 statues which are entirely made up of waste materials and spread in the 40 Acres area. Nek Chand divides this garden into three different phases.

In phase one, you can see the beautiful maze of earthenware pots, chambers, and specialties that have designed with wasted tiles, broken mirror pieces, and broken bangles, tube light pieces and even can include installations.

In the second phase, you can see the beautiful man-made waterfall which is one of the great places of the attraction of tourists. You can see a big place of sitting here and many cultural events are also held here every year.

In the third phase, you can see various statues of animals, humans and the birds. This one is also a great crowd puller.
