I just took my daughters to Reagan National Airport recently.

I got their tickets, checked their luggage, and got down into an almost empty line. Unfortunately, the lady at the Alaska desk forgot to give me a pass and the lady checking us out refused to let me go with them (ages 14 and 11) to see them off without a special pass for me... so back to the desk.

We got back ten minutes later... to a full line that took us over 45 minutes to get through... so no breakfast for my daughters before boarding their flight.

I never travel by plane anymore, opting to take the train or drive instead, even though I normally travel coast to coast and back at least once each year.

Personally, I wish they would just jump to their logical conclusion and make everyone strip, get into little cargo carriers, and load us up like they do dogs and cats. Maybe once they start doing that people will start to refuse to comply.
