Cebu's Fame, One of its Name
We woke up at three in the morning today and went to Simala Church. It was a two-hour travel minus the traffic delays so we reached the place at around seven and a half in the morning. The sun is bright and I regretted not bringing my umbrella. Good thing we have reliable friends who are always ready.
Here are some photos I took in the time that we were there. It's not much but some are good. Probably. XDXD
It's not the whole view of the church, just the part of the front view. A classmate of mine @loydjayme25 said that it was just a chapel once before. Just look at what it is now!
Stone figures!
They said it's not actually made of stones but fiber. It really looks real.
The little Great Wall of Cebu!
Walking on this in the middle of the day is really taxing. Especially if you don't have an umbrella with you.
Sr. Sto. Niño at the top.
It's the main Saint of Cebu. The child of Mary. He's the one protecting the whole Cebu. And Yeah, there's a Sinulog Festival the week after next in commemoration of His greatness and protection.
A clock tower at the side of the main building.
It looks like Elizabeth Tower of London. Just placement of the clock though.
The side view of the church. It looks like the front.
The main buildings.
This is the second time that I went there in Simala. The first was Summer last year. It was too hot, I didn't get to take pictures much and it was really hot that day. This time, I took a lot of pictures. I was able to visit the inside of the church and got to see the miraculous Virgin Mary. It's so beautiful. Looks transient.
I wasn't able to take any photo inside because there's somehow a silent rule not to take photos at the very heart of the church.
Anyways, I really had so much fun today. And everything was for free. Free things are the best! Thank you very much for this day.
Truly,

Enjoy the vote and reward!
tine share your blessings :) hehe
Beautiful pictures, Ojou. The sky looks really beautiful too. I'm glad you are enjoying a little bit of the sun. It's pretty cold here right now.
Thank you very much Ojou.
It was raining on the way home so I got worried since I had muscle pains back then.
