Volcanic Eruption Time Lapse of Mt. Bromo - Java, Indonesia
After an arduous trek up the mountainside, the spectacle of seeing Mt. Bromo during a minor eruption was a first for me. Dodging the horses and droves of camera backpacked tourists was worth it in the end.

When you visit Indonesia, don't just stay on Bali as there is so much more to see and experience. The countryside of Java is spectacular and best viewed while traveling by train. I cannot wait to return as I feel it is roughly similar to Costa Rica in terms of flora, but somehow even more beautiful and rugged as the island is rather large. The variety of incredible stones is mind blowing as well (if you are into that sort of thing).

great time lapse. Bromo look like moon surface , the caldeira is amazing, a terrific landscape. I remember too the metallic color of sky and tree when walk to the top .

Because of the ongoing eruption there was a 500m no-go zone as if the distance we were at would make much of a difference if there was a larger scale eruption.
