Trips and Tips: The Vatican City and its surroundings
A very interesting visit you can take once in Rome is to the Vatican City, including St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican museum.
I have never seen a museum as important as its exhibits. This place is amazing. You will see some of the prettiest ceilings and halls in your life. Also, the exhibits vary from Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Christian and so many others; the masterpiece of the Vatican City, in my opinion, is the Sistine Chapel.
The Sistine Chapel is the place where the new Pope is being elected by the conclave. If a Pope has been elected, the smoke that comes out of Sistine Chapel chimney is white, if not, the smoke is black. The ceiling of this chapel painted by Michelangelo in the 16th century, is a masterpiece:
Don’t hesitate to visit St Peter’s Basilica. This is the centre of the Vatican City. It was made by Michelangelo, Bernini, Maderno, Bramante, della Porta. The Pope officiates the mass and people gather from all over the world, both inside this huge church and outside in St Peter’s square to receive his blessing. Also, you may pay a visit to the Dome, where you will enjoy a magnificent view of the city.
The Pieta:
If you are in this area, you may visit Castel Sant’ Angelo. Or just make some nice pictures off its façade:
In this area, my favourite place to shop is this market. We always pay a visit to buy incredible cheeses and cured meat products:
Till next time, enjoy!

Stunning! Gives me flashback to two years ago when @sandrastarud and I visited and did a similar tour through the city 🙏🏼 (remember it was 34+ degrees and we almost perished in the heat but an amazing experience 😉)

i really like your post i want to add few things in addition to this article -First, know how to visit the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. entering as early as possible in the morning to avoid the queue and crowds and to then make you way to St. Peter's Basilica. note that while there are some Free Days to visit the Vatican Museum, it can be extremely busy on these days.don't take a backpack with you into the Vatican. You will need to check this in upon entering the museum. This can be frustrating and a waste of your time upon entering and when you leave the museum.
Thanks!!!Also if I may add.. i wouldn t advise you to buy tickets from the people selling them outside the museum..I think the ticket cost much more than the 17 euros I paid to enter...
obviously locals doing this shit to visitors
Woooeeww..im like your post..the amazing pictures,,thank you ☺

Greeting from me☺
