Taverna dei Fori Imperiali: either I am stupid or the people are just following the cattle…
We were wandering around this magnificent pedestrian area in Rome and saw this restaurant where people were queuing to enter at 12.30 at noon…Inside, one can see a few budges gained from a known Travel Advisor.. I thought... Mmm this might be interesting! Taverna dei Fori Imperiali: an amazing hocus-pocus!
First dish: a soup with beans and pasta… So hot that we started cursing… ok, once the shock was over, this dish was plain and flat.
Second first dish: Eggplants with tomatoes and cheese. This dish was microwaved. Other than this fault, this dish was supposed to be superb! Eggplant, tomato, basil and good quality of cheese can rock this dish… Unfortunately, we had no luck… chewy and flat in flavor:
Salad: as always a typical plain salad in Italy: no fantasy involved here!
Main dish: Bucatini Amatriciana. The bacon smelled awful, let alone that the pasta was not cooked well:
Spaghettoni Putanesca: the only eatable dish. Not an amazing one – as you can see the olives are the ones died in black colour not the original non-coloured ones – but ok, you could eat it!
We decided not to taste the desserts...
Just imagine: this place had reservations and people were waiting in line to get in...and were told to come back in 2 hrs with the second batch!!! Bottom line: Never follow the cattle!

Now you have got me worried about the implications that might have for other areas of life besides restaurants.
And I was sleeping so peacefully until now :-)
It' s a basic law...also involves descending stairs, walking on the most crowded pavement, voting for the most popular parties or people and so on.. I am a year older and wiser now...😁😁😁
