Great trip around Milano and Lago di Como
Hey steemit friends!
I'm more than happy to share with you some nice pictures and details about my trip to Milano and Lago di Como last November.
Me and my girlfriend decided to go there during the off season, just because during the summer it's really overcrowded and the late Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy some peaceful moments around the city and the near by nature. And we were absolutely right.
Milano is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited so long. And it's really special. Why? Because it feels like you're not in a regular italian city. I absolutely love Italy and i love the charm of the typical Italian atmosphere, but Milano feels different. The city is not that big, but the historical center feels definetely epic. Especially when you get to the top of D'uomo.
It feels like an ageless person is watching upon the whole humanity for a whole eternity, isn't it?
And the cloud that's above the whole city makes the effect twice more powerful.
Having some night walks around the center of Milano was one of the best experiences that we had. Just entering some bar, having a cocktail (it's a MUST to try the local cocktails) and watching over the locals who enjoy their time in the manner of true Italian "La dolce vita" like there is no tomorrow and like everything in life is perfect.
And of course enjoying some meal at a sushi restaurant where you get all you can eat for free if you buy a drink. It was really delicious and perfectly fitting the trend of having so many Asian restaurants around all Milano.
But actually the real gem in the area of the city is Lago di Como. The famous lake provides one of the best views that the world knows and I don't wander why it's famous toward the high class society.
During the late Autumn when there are almost no tourists in the area of Lago di Como you can see the most surrealistic pictures ever. The nature all around is peaceful and magical. The mist devours the top of the hills around and when the night falls it even "melts" with the water of the lake creating the perfect mixure between water and sky.
And we had it all for ourselves.
... Well, almost. All for ourselves and our hosts - the local birds.
They were extremely friendly and begging for some food. We simply couldn't resist them and shared what was left of our meal.
You can see how beautiful the view gets on Lago di Como when it gets a bit rainy and colder...
And the sunset is simply amazing. If you want to spend some romatic time with your significant other, that's the perfect time and place.
And that's our last picture. Happy times as you can see!
I hope that you enjoyed these pictures and you'll follow me for more travel stories. Thanks for reading!
